United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Haoliang Xu will arrive in Sri Lanka Saturday.
He is scheduled to hold discussions with high-ranking state officials, civil organizations, and development partners, in order to identify the development needs of the country in the backdrop of the new political climate in Sri Lanka.
During the visit the Assistant Secretary General will visit the North and North Central provinces too.
According to the UN office in Colombo He will hold discussions with government officials, representatives of community-based organizations, as well as beneficiaries of development programs during his visit to the North.
Haoliang Xu will remain in Sri Lanka until April 10.
