Sri Lanka Freedom Party National Organizer Susil Premajayantha stated that the expulsion of five MPs from the party Central Committee is most likely to be revoked.
Speaking to BBC Sandeshaya, he said that the decision had been taken several days ago. However, President Maithripala Sirisena had a cordial discussion with several party leaders including one member who was expelled, Premajayantha added.
MPs Bandula Gunawardena, S.M. Chandrasena, Salinda Dissanayake, T.B. Ekanayake and Rohitha Abeygunawardena were removed from SLFP Central Committee recently.
Eastern Provincial Member Wimalaweera Dissanayake resigned as Ampara SLFP Chief Organizer on Sunday (12), in protest over this decision.
On Monday (13) speaking to local news paper S.M Chamdrasena told that expelled MPs hope to take the matter to the court and seek a solution.
