UPFA MPs Visit Rajapaksa At Tangalle

A number of MPs of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) met with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Carlton House in Tangalle earlier in the day.

The MPs who visited Carlton House included Dinesh Gunawardena, Wimal Weerawansa, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, T.B. Ekanayake, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Gamini Lokuge, Nishantha Muthuhettigama, Dulles Alahapperuma, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Johnston Fernando, Jayantha Ketagoda and Sarath Weerasekara.

Provincial Council Members including Western Provincial Council CM Prasanna Ranatunga also visited Carlton House to meet Rajapaksa.

The group of politicians, including the MPs had planned the visit to extend their greetings to Rajapaksa in view of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. Rajapaksa held a meeting at Carlton House with the visiting politicians.

Several UPFA MPs were also present on April 14 when Rajapaksa marked the Sinhala, Hindu New Year at his Tangalle residence.
