Sri Lanka's dashing cricket star Kumar Sangakkara was honored once again when he won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Sport at the 5th Asian Awards.
The Awards Ceremony was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Friday (17).
The 37-years-old became only the second Sri Lankan cricketer to win the award. In 2011 Muttiah Muralitharan won the award.
Kumar Sangakkara retired from One Day Internationals at the end of Sri Lanka’s 2015 Cricket World Cup campaign.
The phenomenal cricketer was chosen as the wicketkeeper in the ICC Team of Cricket World Cup 2015.
Sangakkara was also named as the Leading Cricketer in the World by 2015 Wisden Cricketers' Almanack.
