Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa arrived at the Kaduwela Magistrate Courts.

Rajapaksa smiled and waved as he was brought to the courts. His lawyer told media that they would request bail but added that it was not very likely.

Rajapaksa was arrested this evening, after arriving at FCID to give a statement on financial irregularities on Divi Naguma Department.
