Several motorcyclists gathered this morning (26) in Kandy to engage in a protest over the decision of banning full face covering helmets.

Because of heavy traffic several roads were blocked, Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said.

The police implemented the ban on full face covering helmets with effect from April 02.

However the decision was suspended temporary by the court.

“We want urge the police to take back the decision permanently” a protester told media.
