The High Court on Tuesday (28) fixed May 22 for the trial in the murder of Presidential Advisor Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and several others.
The Attorney General filed indictment against the 13 suspects in High Court on March 03 on 17 charges including the killing of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, Dharshana Jayathilake, Mohamed Azmy and Manimel Kumaraswamy and inflicting gunshot injuries on Premachandra's bodyguard Rajapurage Gamini and participating in an unlawful assembly.
Colombo High Court released UPFA Duminda Silva and 12 others on strict bail conditions on April 1, when the case on Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra's killing was taken up by court.
