UPFA Parliamentarians Wimal Weerawansa and Vasudeva Nanayakkara arrived at the Commission to Investigate allegations of Bribery or Corruption over a case against former president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.
The complaint against Kumaratunga was regarding an incident where a private company was awarded 10 acres of land in Colombo Harbor without adhering to due process.
Nanayakkara told media that in 2007, Supreme Court considered a Fundamental Rights petition filed by him, and determined that the transaction was fraudulent. Despite this, the Attorney General and Bribery Commission have not taken any further step on the issue, he further stated.
