The soldier who had allegedly entered a meeting attended by the President last month at Angunakolapelassa was arrested and remanded till May 12, police sources said.
Corporal Senaka Kumara, attached to the Commando Unit, was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department last night and produced before the Agunukolapelassa Magistrate.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) recently launched an investigation over the security breach that occurred at a meeting attended by President Maithripala Sirisena at a recent the SLFP meeting at Angunakolapelassa. The Corporal was said to be a member of the security detail of MP Namal Rajapaksa.
