President Maithripala Sirisena has given times for the meeting with former president Mahinda Rajapaksa, which is expected to take place on Wednesday, political sources said.
Accordingly, the president suggested 10am or 2pm for the meeting.
The meeting is expected to take place at the Presidential Secretariat, reports also said. Local media had earlier said that the meeting would take place at the Official Residence of Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa.
Meanwhile, the two sides are expected to name their representatives at the meeting on Tuesday.
A meeting between Sirisena and Rajapaksa was planned earlier for April 25. However, a day before it was to take place, Rajapaksa indicated that he was too busy, and the meeting was postponed.
