Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa signed the blueprint of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution a short while ago.

Thereby, the Constitutional Council and the Independent Commission including other amendments to the Constitution will be implemented from today.

The 19th Amendment was passed in parliament on April 28.
