Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa was transferred to Cardiology Unit of the National Hospital for a special test after a sudden ailment while being treated at the hospital.
Rajapaksa was arrested on April 22 by police Financial Crimes Investigations Division in connection with financial fraud in the Divi Naguma Department and was remanded by Kaduwela Magistrate Courts.
He was later transferred to the Colombo National Hospital paying ward.
Basil Rajapaksa is due to be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate Courts tomorrow.
