UPFA MP Sajin de Vass Gunawardena was further remanded till June 3 by Colombo Fort Magistrate a short while ago.

Gunawardena was arrested on May 11 by CID for allegedly misusing 22 vehicles of the Presidential Secretariat.

CID told the courts that Gunawardena had used two of these vehicles for a private security firm.

However, Gunawardena’s lawyers told the court that the MP used vehicles with permission from the former president.
