National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa asked as to why the government was afraid of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.

 

Speaking at a press conference in Colombo this morning, he said that the government was trying to block Rajapaksa from entering politics in numerous ways. Meanwhile, he slammed the government for creating chaos in the country, instead of the change promised through the 100 Days Program.

 

Furthermore, Left Democratic Alliance leader Vasudeva Nanayakkara said that the supporters of Mahinda Rajapaksa were ready to contest the next general election under the leadership of the former president.
