Minister of Social Services and Social Welfare P. Harrison on Monday (22) stressed that some members of the Sri Lanka Freedom party (SLFP) were trying to create problems between President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.
Addressing a meeting in Anuradhapura, the minister pointed out that these attempts will not be successful. The bond between the President and Prime Minister is strong enough to endure such challenges, the minister added.
“Ranil Wickeremasinghe will be elected as the Prime Minister at the forthcoming general election. Thereafter, the President and the PM will establish a national government once again with the help of all parties”, Harrison asserted.
The bond of friendship and unity between the President and the PM will create a new journey towards the prosperity of the country, he added.
