Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe told the Parliament that he is not interested in delaying the electoral reforms as claimed by some MPs of the opposition.

 

He added that the government has introduced a draft electoral bill. The government wants to ascertain all views on the electoral reforms, he added.

 

Meanwhile, Wickremesinghe accused some of the SLFP MPs of undermining President Maithripala Sirisena.

 

Both the government and the opposition have exchanged strong words on each others' commitment towards the 20th Amendment during the recent days.
