MP Ajith Kumara presented a Private Members' Bill to provide the Rs. 2500 budgetary allowance for private sector employees this afternoon when the Parliament convened.

 

Adressing a press conference in the morning, Ajith Kumara stated that the parliament did not have to get a bill drafted since it has been already done for it. Therefore, the MPs can easily get the bill passed in parliament, he pointed out.

 

The Galle District MP, who sits independently in parliament, is a member of the Frontline Socialist Party.
