Reconstruction and Development Agency (RADA) former Financial and Administration Director Dr. Jayantha Samarasinghe was remanded till July 8 by the Colombo Fort Magistrate a short while ago.

 

He was arrested last evening by police SIU for allegedly approving vouchers for contractors to construct houses for Tsunami victims.

 

Meanwhile, former Chief Operations Officer of RADA Saliya Wickramasuriya was released on bail by the Magistrate today. He was released on the grounds that his services are vitel for the country since he is an expert on petroleum research. His passport was impounded.
