Rajapaksa To Receive Sirisena's Residence

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to be allowed the use of the house currently occupied by President Maithripala Sirisena, Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said yesterday at the weekly Cabinet press conference.

He also said that President Sirisena will move to the residence used by the late former President D. B. Wijetunge.

Senaratne said that repair work was being carried out in both residences.

This move came a few days after questions were raised in the parliament on not giving the former president an official residence.
