The Government is planning to launch a human resource database of all public employees. Its prime purpose is to mould an efficient and productive state service.
As an initial step information data of all workers is now being included in the human resource database.
The database will include curriculum vitae and educational and professional qualifications as well as vocational talents and experiences of the officials. The process is being undertaken by the Ministry of Public Administration and Management according to an idea mooted by the Prime Minister’s office. Such a human resource database will help access expeditiously information of state officials spread throughout the country. This data is also important in the vesting of responsibilities in them including new appointments.
It is hoped to introduce a website to access this information.
