UPFA MP Wimal Weerawansa, who was remanded for abuse of state vehicles, has taken to poetry while in prison.
Weerawansa's media team released a poem, written by him, a day after the Parliamentarian launched a hunger strike in his prison cell.
Previously, the Parliamentarian's media team released a few sketches drawn by Weerawansa while in remand.
Weerawansa was arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID), last month, for distributing vehicles among his family members, friends and political supporters.
Although he filed a bail application before the Colombo High Court, it was rejected by HC Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi, prompting the Parliamentarian to go on a hunger strike.
