Six teachers, including a school principal, have been taken into custody by the Examinations Department for questioning over allegations of leaking the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination paper. 

One teacher, stationed for the exam, reportedly photographed the first question paper just ten minutes before the exam began on Sunday, September 15. These images were shared with several other teachers.

The detained educators, from schools in Anuradhapura and Nochchiyagama, have had their mobile devices seized for further investigation. An additional inquiry is being conducted to verify if the leaked exam paper was disseminated on social media prior to the examination.
