Anura Kumara Dissanayake has been officially sworn in as the 9th Executive President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo, officiated by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya.

Dissanayake, 56, was declared the winner by the Election Commission following the second round of counting last night.
