Sajith Premadasa has been named the Prime Ministerial candidate for the ‘Samagi Jana Sandhanaya’ (SJB) in the upcoming General Election. This decision was unanimously approved during a recent party meeting, reinforcing his leadership within the coalition.

Sajith also addressed rumors of a potential alliance with former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, stating firmly that there will be no collaboration between them.

In a heartfelt message to supporters following his recent presidential election loss, Sajith expressed gratitude for the backing he received from diverse communities across Sri Lanka, including Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim, and Burgher. He reaffirmed his commitment to a united and prosperous Sri Lanka, highlighting that he will continue to fight for the hopes of all citizens.
