Dr. Senesh Dissanayake Bandara, a senior lecturer and renowned film director, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC). 

Dr. Uditha Gayashan, also a senior lecturer, has been named Chairman of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC).

These appointments were made by the newly appointed Minister of Media, Vijitha Herath.
