The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has asked  bakers to reduce the prices of egg-based bakery products following a recent decline in egg prices.

CAA Chairman Thusitha Indrajith said that the current market price of eggs now ranges from Rs. 28 to Rs. 35, down from previously elevated rates.
He emphasized the importance of passing these cost savings onto consumers, encouraging immediate action to lower bakery prices accordingly.
