Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) DIG Priyantha Weerasuriya said that officers previously assigned to VIP security will now be reallocated to regular police duties. This statement was made during his visit to Kandy yesterday.

He was welcomed at Temple of tooth by Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga DelaUpon. Following this, Priyantha Weerasuriya engaged in discussions with the chief prelates of the Malwathu and Asgiriya.
