A 46-year-old man was killed after being hit by a train between Hettimulla and Aluthgama railway stations in the Aluthgama police division. The train, traveling from Maradana to Hikkaduwa, hit the person, who was a resident of the Beruwala area.

The body has been transported to the mortuary at Nagoda Hospital.
