The Election Commission said that all election campaign activities for the 2024 General Election must conclude by midnight tomorrow, November 11. The Commission reiterated that candidates must halt their campaigns by the deadline to ensure a fair and orderly election process.

In preparation for the election, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) said that 884 buses will be deployed to assist with election-related services. SLTB Deputy General Manager Panduka Swarnahansa said that the buses will be allocated based on requests from district election offices.

From November 13 to 18, special bus services will operate to transport voters, particularly those traveling to rural areas to cast their votes.
