Addressing the parliament this morning, Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Rauff Hakeem lashed out at dictatorial tendencies among some members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and some members of the Cabinet.

 

In a charged speech, Hakeem said that the SLFP should be saved from those who were having presidential dreams. Meanwhile, he said that there were worse dictatorial tendencies among some members of the Cabinet.

 

He also reiterated that injustice has already been done to the small parties by not considering their proposals before gazetting the 20th Amendment. He urged the government to withdraw the Gazette Notification and vowed that he will not give up on the issue easily.
