Mahajana Eksath Peramuna leader Dinesh Gunawardena, addressing the parliament today, accused the government of failing to provide facilities to the former president.
He said that the government has also not provided an official residence to the former president and even his medical team has been withdrawn.
Gunawardena also said that vehicles provided to Rajapaksa’s security officers had also been reduced.
However, the government denied these allegations, saying that more than 200 army and police personnel have been provided to the former president along with three high quality vehicles. Gunawardena countered by saying that one vehicle has broken down.
