Two recognized political parties have recently changed their names, Elections Commissioner stated yesterday. MEanwhile, several other parties have changed their Secretaries due to various requirements.

 

Accordingly, the Patriotic National Front has changed its name to Sri Lanka National Force. Piyasiri Wijenayake acts as its Secretary. Meanwhile, Eksath Lanka Maha Sabha Party has changed its name to Bodu Jana Peramuna. Dr. Nath Amarakoon is its secretary.

 

Meanwhile, the secretaries of the Ilankai Tamil Arasu Katchchi, Eelam People's Revolutionary Liberation Front, Mahajana Eksath Peramuna, Muslim National Alliance and Sri Lanka National Front have been changed.

 

K. Thurairasasingham is the Secretary of the ITAK and N. Sivasakthi is the Secretary of EPRLF. Tissa Jayawardena Yapa is the Secretary of MEP. Masihudin Naeemullah is the Secretary of MNA and Sagara Kariyawasam is the Secretary of SLNF.
