Lotus Road in Colombo Fort has been completely blocked to traffic due to a protest  by university non-academic staff. The demonstration, organized by the University Trade Union Joint Committee (UTUJC), has caused significant traffic congestion in the area.

Authorities are advising motorists to seek alternative routes.
