The 2024 GCE Advanced Level Examination begins today at 2,312 examination centers across Sri Lanka, accommodating 333,185 candidates.

The Department of Examinations said that necessary arrangements are in place to address any disruptions caused by prevailing heavy rains. Candidates requiring assistance can contact emergency hotlines 117 or 1911 for support.

A coordinated effort involving the Disaster Management Center and the Tri-Forces has been implemented to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.

The examination will continue until December 20, 2024.
