Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara told Asian Mirror that he is not in a position to officially confirm the news that UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa has been summoned to the CID.

Gunasekara pointed out that he is officially informed of any summons given by the CID, the FCID or any other police institution only after the summoned individual has arrived.

Therefore, he is not in a position to officially confirm the summoning of any person until he or she arrives at the respective police institution, he said.
