Party leaders, at a meeting this afternoon, fixed the debate on the no-confidence motion against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake for July 6.
The opposition had continuously demanded the government to take up the debate immediately. However, the government refused its demand, and said that the government was not ready to give in to the opposition.
Recently, during a parliamentary session, Leader of the House Lakshman Kiriella said that the debate will be taken up on July 4.
