Several UPFA MPs met with the IGP N. K. Illangakone yesterday to discuss several matters including the establishment of the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division.
The MPs urged the IGP that the FCID has been established contrary to the available legal framework. Meanwhile, they also argued that Attorney General should be consulted when a politician is arrested on charges of offenses against public property.
