National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa revealed that former president Mahinda Rajapaksa will definitely contest the upcoming general election and that the NFF will contest in the same front with the former president.

 

Speaking at a press conference held today, Weerawansa said that he will contest from the Colombo District as usual.

 

Meanwhile, he said that the decision on contesting under the UPFA ticket will be taken following discussions with UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha, who is currently overseas.

 

Meanwhile, Weerawasna argued that the UNP wanted to dissolve the parliament before the COPE Committee presented its report on the controversial Central Bank bond issue.
