Sri Lanka's ace batsman Kumar Sangakkara praised the young cricketers shortly after the team won the Second Test against Pakistan, leveling the series 1-1.

Sangakkara said on his Twitter handle that it was great to level the series. "Dammika Prasad outstanding and the young batsmen leading the chase. Kaushal Silva and dimuth solid and mature" he added.

The test series has not been particularly successful for Sangakkara personally as he has scored only 102 runs in four innings at an average of 25.5. He was dismissed for a Golden Duck in the run chase today.

Sangakkara is due to retire during the forthcoming Test Series against India.
