Minister S. B. Dissanayake said there was no truth in the claims that Mahinda Rajapaksa will be named the Prime Ministerial candidate of the UPFA.

 

Speaking to Asian Mirror a short while ago, he said that no final decision has been taken on giving nominations to the former president.

 

Dissanayake further said that these claims are being circulated to attract crowds to the event in Medamulana tomorrow.

 

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to make a special announcement from Medamulana tomorrow morning.

 

Former UPFA MP Ranjith de Zoysa told Asian Mirror that Rajapaksa will be named Prime Ministerial candidate of the UPFA tomorrow.
