'Not So Rhythmic' Yoga

President Maithripala Sirisena and Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne attended a yoga session organized by WHO this morning. There were times when either the Minister or the President lost the rhythm.

The 69th session of the South-East Asia regional meeting of the WHO got underway yesterday. Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne was elected Chairman of the session.

A press briefing was held after the initial session where the Minister spoke of the plans for the health sector of the country.

Uzbek President's Funeral

Uzbekistan's late President Islam Karimov's funeral is being held at Tashkent, capital of the Central Asian state. Leader of the country since its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, the 78 year-old strongman passed away recently after being hospitalized with internal bleeding in the brain.
