Minister of Ports and Shipping Arjuna Ranatunga on Friday (22) praised MP Namal Rajapaksa saying that the latter is acting wisely in the political arena, given the current situation in the in the country.

Addressing a press briefing in Colombo, the minister said that the former president must have advised his son to behave in this manner.

“Namal Rajapaksa does not do anything which is prohibited by the court. Meanwhile is avoiding all the unnecessary meetings, rallies and strikes. Those are the qualities of a wise politician,” Ranatunga added.

He added that Namal Rajapaksa is clearly playing a ‘brain game’. Certain supporters of former president Rajapaksa and his family do not use their brains, he pointed out. They do politics through emotions and get into trouble, Ranatunga said.
