Rajapaksa Trying To Protect Corrupt Individuals: Anura Dissanayake

Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna Leader Anura Dissanayake on Monday (25) lashed out at former president Mahinda Rajapaksa saying that the latter is trying to protect people who have numerous allegations on corruption.

Addressing a meeting at Anuradhapura Youth Centre, Dissanayake pointed out that many activities done by members of Rajapaksa family was currently under investigations of CID.

“It is very clear that Rajapaksa is trying to split Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP). If he wants to make his side more powerful then he should protect all the criminals and corruptors within the party,” JVP leader stressed.

Dissanayake also said that he had mentioned that fact to the Prime Minister several times. But he cannot be sure that justice will be served to those criminals under this government, Dissanayake asserted.
