Shashi Weerawansa, wife of former minister Wimal Weerawansa, has informed police Financial Crimes Investigations Division that she is unable to be present at the FCID due to ill-health.

Police Media Unit told Asian Mirror that she has requested an alternative date to appear at the FCID.

However, an alternative date has still not been given, Police Media Unit said.

Weerawansa was summoned to the FCID to record a statement on a complaint regarding a land deal.
