The suspect who was arrested for carrying a gun to a meeting attended by President Maithripala Sirisena at Angunakolapelessa was released on bail today by the Angunakolapelessa Magistrate.

Corporal Senaka Kumara, attached to the Commando Unit, was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department on May 2 and produced before the Agunukolapelassa Magistrate.

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) recently launched an investigation over the security breach that occurred at a SLFP meeting at Angunakolapelassa.
