UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardena urged the parliament to consider the no-confidence motion against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake as a matter of priority.
Speaking at a press conference at Abhayaramaya Temple in Colombo this morning, Gunawardena said that the no-confidence motion should be given priority over the Constitutional Council.
Meanwhile, UPFA MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara said that the no-confidence motion should be considered as a matter of priority according to parliamentary tradition.
Parliament will be convened for a special meeting on June 3 to approve the three civil society members of the Constitutional Council. Other seven members have already been nominated.
