Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the United People’s Freedom Alliance are of one stand regarding the 20th Amendment to the Constitution, SLFP National Organizer and UPFA General Secretary Susil PRemajayantha said.
He made this comment at a press conference this morning, responding to a statement made by UNP General Secretary Kabir Hashim. The UNP General Secretary recently said that his party will not support the 20th Amendment if it was proposed by the ‘Mahinda Rajapaksa faction.’
Premajayantha said that there is no ‘Mahinda Rajapaksa daction’ within the SLFP or the alliance. The SLFP and UPFA took one decision regarding the 19th Amendment as well, he went on to explain.
