Consumer Affairs Authority Chairman Rumy Marzook resigned from his post with effect from June 03.

It was reported that he had handed over his resignation letter to the secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce yesterday.

A dispute between Marzook and the Minister Rishad Bathiudeen is said to be the reason behind this resignation.

Rumy Marzook served as the Chairman of Consumer Affairs Authority for 9 years.
