If former president Mahinda Rajapaksa comes to power, foreign military forces will land in the country within a year or two, Nava Sama Samaja Party leader Dr. Wickramabahu Karunaratne stated.

Speaking at a press conference this morning, Karunaratne said that Rajapaksa follows a ‘Sinhalese-Buddhist fascist’ ideology which does not allow other communities to enjoy their rights.

Foreign countries will be seriously alarmed if he comes to power and will take extreme measures, he said. Foreign forces could arrive in the country and it will be broken to pieces, Karunaratne argued.
