UPFA Hambantota District MP Namal Rajapaksa is currently at the CID giving a statement.

Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara told Asian Mirror that Rajapaksa is currently giving a statement on the security breach at a meeting in Angunakolapelessa.

An Army Corporal was arrested for bringing in a firearm to a meeting attended by President Maithripala Sirisena in late April. The Corporal had arrived at the meeting with Namal Rajapaksa.
